Dolce provide catering services at St Raphael’s. Please ensure you have completed your account set-up for Dolce with School Grid to order and pay for school meals.
School Meals Finances
Under Dolce/School Grid parents/carers are responsible for adding credit to their accounts (unless they receive a free meal) to ensure there is sufficient funds for meals to be charged – if an account goes into arrears 3 meals will be permitted on credit, as a school we will then be asked to authorise additional meals on credit. Whilst we will ensure children receive a meal you will be contacted and asked to make a payment or bring a packed lunch.
School Meals Ordering
All parents/carers are responsible for pre ordering meals via their SchoolGrid account regardless of whether they receive a paid meal or a free meal. As a courtesy, we do endeavor to operate a safety net in school each morning if a meal hasn’t been ordered but this is not always guaranteed. If a meal isn’t pre-ordered the kitchen will only provide a jacket potato as all meals are made to order. Ordering cut off for Parents is 8.55am each day, in school ordering closes at 9.30am.

Children may bring a packed lunch from home as an alternative to a cooked school meal, please provide a healthy balanced lunch for your child. We ask that you do not include fizzy drinks or cans, breakable containers, sweets or chocolate. Please ensure the lunch is in a lunch bag, clearly marked with name and class, and provide a spoon if necessary as there may not be one available.
Healthy Eating Policy St-Raphael’s June 2021
School policy requires two weeks notice to move from school meals to sandwiches.
Universal Free School Meals
From September 2014 children in Reception Class, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal under a new government initiative. Should your child wish to have a school meal it will be free of charge whilst they are in these classes, this will still be covered by school’s policy as detailed above.
