Young Voices 2016

Well, we had an amazing time and raised the roof of the ‘Young Voices Arena’ yet again.

We had a brilliant time during our rehearsals and enjoyed meeting Urban Strides – our dancer was called Josh. During the concert Tom Billington came and high-5’d us and the conductor came over at the end to say ‘Thank-you’. Alexandra Burke was the surprise artist who closed the concert for us.

Have a look at some of our photos – they are awesome!

We had such an amazing time, we’ve already told them we’re coming next year!!

Year 4 – Musical Masters!

With Mrs Delsoldato as both Year 4 teacher and arts coordinator the children in year 4 are taking part in a number of musical activities at the start of March which they are practicing for. First of all they are travelling to the Bridgewater Hall with Year 5 to take part in the Halle for Youth concert, next up is the Young Voices concert where some of the year 4 children will join the rest of the school in a choir at the Manchester Arena.

Our final performance is at MOSI as part of the Year of Science Celebrations with the GM Music Hub. Our Year 4 group has been chosen from all the schools in Tameside to represent Tameside in a singing competition where they will perform a song alongside another 11  schools through the Greater Manchester area. To help at home the lyrics and backing tracks for the piece they will be signing are given below… keep practicing!
